In 6th sem (civil uvce) we have highway lab which is one of excellent labs in Karnataka , some equipments of respective experiments are here , may be its useful for civil students....

 Equipments of Bitumen tests

1.Penetrometer(penetration test)

2.Ductility test

3.Softening  point test 

4.Specific gravity of Bitumen is done in any 50ml conical flask

5.Flash and Fire point test  is done in a Pensky martens open or closed cup

6. Viscosity test on Cutback(mix of bitumen and kerosene) 

Aggregate Tests

1. Specific gravity and water absorption

2.Impact test machine

3. Crushing value test

4. Los angeles Abrasion test

5. Shape test (Elongation and Flakiness Index Tests)

Test on Subgrade Soil CBR test apparatus
